I have been trying to get the brooder ready and its a bit warm. I dont have a 125watt light bulb just the 250. I have raised it and the cool area is 110. too much. I also went to put the eggs in lock down and I have 3 external pips. I have jumped the humidity up and I see no reason to candle them. I have to find a different light bulb.

Reading to caatch up on 130 posts. Just now starting the freezing rain. Porch rail has 1/4 inch of ice. My oven element quit this morning. Front 2 eyes dont heat right so dh said time for new stove. Went to sears. Stove + dw=$900 +tax. Will have to lease in order to afford both. $83/month. Still thinking about it.

Jane, Maybe a buy sale trade site ? surely you can find cheaper.
I have a baby pure black EE/polish . Came a little early and some yellow junk in the bottom of the egg. I hope the rest wait for tomorrow .

I did hear that on the radio today. And 8 ft of snow on the mountains?

Yes, but then it will rain in the mountains. And all the snow will melt. Don't tell bubba but it might FLOOD.

Aww can't wait to see that one grown, could be crazy cute. Hi everyone, hope all you that have storms coming have batten down the hatches. I had to drive out in one to go take care of my sick grand baby Thurs. Had to come home in the dark tonight ~ hate driving at night, but especially when it's icy or raining. Just glad to be home. Have a bad feeling I might be headed back. Got home, called dd to let her know I made it. Asked her about my gs, he now has diahrea. He's already been to the hospital once dehydrated 2 days ago. High fevers, barely drinking, sleeping around the clock the past 2 days. Poor baby was wimpering in his sleep this afternoon. Figured he was having tummy cramps from hardly eating in days, but must just have been cramps with the impending onset of the diahrea. That's the last thing he needs, praying he won't end up admitted to the hospital. Would love extra prayers from all of you that are willing.
