Granny's gone and done it again

something like this I don't think would be that difficult and only 189 gallon capacity.

Goodnight Twist! I look at this and see a duck pond.

A yorkie and 2 yorkie-poos. A 4, 5, and 10 pounder. They are brats! Spoiled rotten and they know it. They have 3 toy boxes full of toys

But man are they destructive. Chewed the side out of an ottoman, a hole in the wall and the legs on my jewelry box.

Lol, we have two hound dogs that destroy everything living and non living. :lau It's easy in the spring, summer, and fall because they can just be outside most of the day, but in the winter the Beagle refuses to step foot out of the door and the Redtick Coonhound mix will stay outside until he kills himself in the cold. Oh, and we might be fostering a Treeing Walker Coonhound. Long story short, my aunt and cousins got a dog they thought they wanted but now my cousin isn't doing what she said she'd do with the dog so my aunt is sending it back. The dog was majorly abused and is super shy and timid but a real sweetheart that just needs an experienced home that understands hounds and dog behavior. If he goes back to the puns he'll just become more unsocial and never get adopted so my family is thinking about fostering him until he gets adopted. But the thing with hounds is they're really not that bad, they're actually some of the sweetest dogs, you've just got to excercise their destructive art of the brain outside! :)

Look they're even cold inside the house

Awe! They're so cute! I didn't know you were in Ohio by the way, which part? If you don't mind me asking. :)
no fake crying. just enough to make my headache worse.

BUT !!!!!

I couldnt take it anymore.  I know know for fact 3 of those eggs are still alive and CB says I am blind if I cant see the 4th one moving.. :celebrate

Yay! Hopefully they hatch! :woot
I just realized I've not seen FM post in awhile. He's not been on since yesterday afternoon! Maybe a loony found him. Hope he's ok and not praying to the porcelain gods again.

I had been thinking the same thing, normally he's on a lot and I haven't seen him in a bit. :/
Remember me saying a FB friend had died yesterday ?   His live in GF is on there talking to him like he is right there. Sending him funny posts ect..  So sad.

That's so sad. :( But I think I've heard of people doing that before. I remember reading about it in a book before.
We get the paper too.  40 yrs ago it was called the Press Democrat.  Now it is the Press Democrat.  Less about news and more about propaganda.  AND they cut the funnies to two pages!  Very sad.  The newspapers will be gone soon.  Everything will be digital, even school texts.  I much rather read a paper book.  But I'm old!

Lol, we get the paper too. Interesting to read the current news stories, but normally I only read a few of them because most are just car accidents or shootings. Mostly I read some of the sports section and a few of the columns.
neither Rod or Robert can remember that they are Easter Eggers  and call them "owls"  do to the puffs and coloration of some of them.   We won't post what the Australorps are referred to as.    The silver laced wyandotts  were  "feather laced"    The only breed they ever got right were the Brahma's      Haven't even started trying to get them to remember the Delwares and New Hampshires.    They are now the ones in the annex  and the brown chickens  :he :barnie

Hehehe, we might of called our Australorps the same as what you call yours. Ours were really mean.
I wonder if an old stainless milk collection tank could be modified into one.   It would already have the drains and such.

I've seen things where you make those giant metal livestock tanks into pools/hot tubs. They looked pretty cool! My brother and I are trying to get my mom and dad to let us make one but so far the answer is "no!".

Sigh. The joys of home ownership....

So somewhere along the way someone screwed something up very badly. I went to the bathroom last night (nothing crazy just had to pee!) and the toilet clogged. Huh. That's interesting. Call hubs to help plunge it and somehow the seal goes on the toilet. Great. Pee water pee water everywhere. So he ends up taking out the toilet so he can look at the lines. Well. The line itself isn't draining....(it eventually went down, very slowly).

Order from hubs. Check the other toilet. Flush it once, okay it went down. Second flush....nope. Second shower - not even draining.

Crap. We were going to move the chickens over today but I have the feeling he's going to be a little busy exorcising the plumbing demons.

It's now ten to six am. I'm awake. I gotta pee....crumbs! May just head over to the other house super early for some cleaning (and to use the bathroom!)

Ugh.

When I was in school in Columbus the on site kennel had coon hounds and the one was abused. Scared to death of men and being outside. She'd throw on the breaks at every doorway! She was a sweet dog and one of the students adopted her and she's doing great now. I live in southern Ohio about an hour east of Cincinnati.

Lol, this dog is the opposite, all he wants to be is outside. We're going to go get him from my aunt today though and let him run around our place for a while. :) Coondogs are so sweet, and it seems they are abused the most. :( Oh okay, so we are a ways from eachother. I'm in Bowling Green, Ohio, about 30 minutes away from Toledo.

I bet he will do great at your house. Yes quite a ways away.

Time to get a potty bucket!

Granny, we went to the memorial for the murdered boy today.  They rented a hall, and it was full of people, tables, and lots of food.  A big list showed donors from the community that pitched in to supply everything.  It was like a big banquet. They had a screen with pictures and videos of Kirk, and everyone was chatting and remembering... very nice.  We didn't know anyone except the parents.  Jennifer was holding up really well and seemed very happy to see us, especially #1, who towers over her now.  I didn't know it at the time, but Jennifer chose Kirk's preschool because of #1.  She brought Kirk to check it out, and the next thing she knew he was getting a ride on the back of #1's trike.  Soon as she saw that, the decision was made and Kirk started at that preschool and the two boys became good friends for many years.  Both she and her husband were particularly touched by the card #1 sent them...  guess it took them back to happier times...   particularly the father, who had tears in his eyes when #1 gave him a hug goodbye.  I guess seeing the progression from 4 years to 18 was pretty profound, and the fact that Kirk will not be here to continue on into adulthood while #1 will...  no words for the loss.  Both Jennifer and I regretted more than ever that we didn't try harder to keep in touch over the years.  She is a SCUBA instructor, and I'm thinking maybe #2 can start his certification with her...   take the written tests and do the practice in the swimming pool. We'll see.

After we left, driving in the car, hubs and I both let out a huge sigh at the same time.  We were both thinking the same thing...   poof, just like that, he's gone.  :/   There but for the grace of god...

Also, the dad said that the police were narrowing the search and he expected there would be an arrest at some point.  It was not a random crime. This all happened at the end of October.  Kirk had just turned 18 two weeks before he disappeared.

I am so glad you were able to attend the service for your boys friend. It sounds like his parents were very happy to see you all again. Very bittersweet. It is so important that we are reminded not to take anyone for granted. Life is a gift.
