Sis' house was fine. The creek is high, but within the banks. Lots of water pooling in her yard though. House near her had a huge tree fall on it and they were blocking off the street. We heard the emergency crews coming. Hope no one was hurt.

Still got power. Hubs did not drive up to his mom's. She didn't want him to with all the rain, so he will go in the morning. We are trying to fix her food without any fat or things that create gas. In other words, all the good stuff! So far we've got potato soup (yukon gold potatoes) with carrots and a bit of parsley in chicken broth. Surprisingly tasty! Split the batch and put a little lean ham in the soup. That is delicious and gave it good flavor... she can pick the ham out if she needs.
Now he is making a noodle dish (sweet potato noodles) with celery, bell pepper, carrots, spinach, and kale with ginger and a little fish sauce. Not really a stir fry since we can't use oil to fry... Her one great joy in life, food, has become a huge bummer.
