The traditional way of tanning hides involved collecting a lot if urine. female urine, if I remember right. just saying

Quote: Lavender is self blue. The feather is a solid color, no lacing, the fluff is also the same. I still haven't figured out if there is a blue version of self blue, which would breed true. Lavender breeds true, but there are issues with the feather quality. They break and ruffle easily (feathers don't hook together well). The blue that comes from Andalusians is blue/black/splash. I'm just not sure if there is what amounts to a dark lavender, or blue, true breeding self blue. And not sure where the lavender originated. I was too tired to keep looking last night.

I was asked if I would/wanted to come see Twist. I said I didnt know..
We can get you on the way or come visit after! Plenty of time to decide. I'm hoping horny Granny is with calf.

Brain tanning hides is a lot of work. It's a very labor intensive process that uses an emulsified solution of animal brain and water to provide outstanding absorbancy to the final product. But what you get at the end of your sweat and toil is an exceptionally soft hide that stays pliable even after it gets wet
