Awesome! Excellent use of zip ties and clothes pins. A+

Looks great granny!

I learned that the rules that Jewel and Jasper follow at the farm apparently don't apply to the pond. They were both in prey overdrive. Jasper would dive in and swim after them. Jewel is too dainty, so she stayed on the shore. Jasper pounced the smaller blue baby and held her underwater. When he couldn't see her he moved, and she swam halfway across the pond under the water. When she finally surfaced only her head and highest part of her wings were above water. I was hollering at both and neither were listening, so when Jasper ran by I kicked him. That got his attention, and also broke two of my toes I think. They immediately turned purple. I have some degeneration in the bones of my feet, so it guess I'm fragile. Jasper didn't seem phased.

We'll try leashes (and no kids) next time. Maybe having chickens over there will help, too. If that doesn't work, there's always the shock collars.
Oh man! He almost ate my duck! Sorry about your toes.

Quote: Yes, and then we will still be in drought conditions. Need the snow pack to melt slowly to keep the reservoirs full.

I can't get over how big the chicks are already and I think the light grey one is a pullet

Thanks Wishing. Its really your guys not mine. I just followed the directions.

The grey one is a lavender orph. I think its a hen. They hav a lot of growing to do and now they can. I think tomorrow I will take that bale of hay out and move the heat bulb under the wood instead of the curtain.

Yes! How old are they now, granny? And what's that little tiny thing hiding behind the black one?

I dont know how old they are. The little white one is what started all this. LOL oldest one out there. Its a frizzled, silkie serama . It hatched from CBs hidden eggs and no company so I got the black one on FB . thats an AC. all black chick. They are bonded and the only baby serama I have.
