yup, $150.00
cracking a chest is no joke.
My mom had to baby a vietnam non babying type (my step dad) for a good month after they cracked his chest for a heart surgery.
I hope he recovers quick...anyone know where he is..hospital? He was very nice to me when I first joined BYC. I'd like to send him something.
That's why they call it the pecking order. My girls just started laying a few weeks ago..
since then I have had a few attitude problems...
They just need their butts whipped....just kidding.
I thinking they get along great..most of the time but I have noticed a few pecking each other every now and then.
Quote: Scatter some scratch or other treats and watch to see who gives way to another. Dominant hen can walk around and eat whatever she wants. The others will turn their heads or walk away as she comes near. Dominant hen will rarely peck, and it is to make a point, not to be mean. Hens lower in the order will often peck or pull feathers to try to climb the status ladder, and they look like the meanies.
Or is just being submissive.I said my turkey hen is sweet and very friendly. Seen just how friendly today when she squatted down today in front of me and started ruffling her wings. I am assuming that means she wants a mate.
Quote: It's doing nothing good. I'm bout to just go to bed.
Hope you feel better. More zinc!!!Although it works best right at the beginning of symptoms.![]()
Quote: If they are just starting to lay, they will go through some changes, as they will when molting. Laying hens tend to be more dominant over non laying hens (pale combs) and just wait until you get a broody! They are so crazy, even your meekest hen will be left alone when she's good and broody!
Yes, she is getting her pain under control a bit more. Still not sure if she is going to continue with chemo. Waiting on blood test results. Is Jane's hubby ok?
Ive been away for a few weeks.
Wish is your MIL sipping her broth still?
