Granny's gone and done it again

iTS NO YOUR FAULT!
Did you hear me yelling that!?

ok..I don't know amish people...or have them around here...its prolly too hot for them, jk I have no idea.
i hear lots of bad things about hem breeding dogs to sell...
I have a few friends that are constantly rescuing boxers from amish people.

Amish run some of the worse puppy mills. They treat the dogs like livestock. They put them in pens like rabbit hutch and never let them out. They have to poop and pee through the screen bottom of their cages.

That is weird. They are supposed to be in isolation with a bleach bath to step in outside the door to clean your shoes. Unless parvo has changed in 20 yrs since sis worked at the vets.

He is not barfing or pooping, so he is not shedding virus.

well they have the pup in a big room with all the other dogs . I asked about them today. They said some are sick, some are borders ..   I said, arent you afraid he will contaminate the others. She said, cats cant catch it and the dogs are caged.   I didnt say anything else but Im sure they walk them dogs out of there anther dog is gonna stick its nose up to Bandits.

Cats can't catch it but like you said if they walk them their nose can go in the cage. But also if the diarrhea hits it's not going to stay in the cage

And if I boarded my pet there I'd be livid if they were housed with sick animals. Because I'd be paying for the boarding and then later treatment for them possibly. They are not taking proper steps if he really does have parvo to prevent a outbreak at the clinic.

hes drumming up business . OK, cats cant catch it BUT a cat sniffs Bandit, picks up the virus and walks over and sniffs another dog . He said they can still catch it even having the shots.

Well it's passed through the feces so the cat would have to have the dogs feces on it to pass it. But yes you have the basic definition for a fomite there lol (fomite is something that carries/ contains it) yes they can although not common and usually if the vaccination series isn't completed on time.

Well, I have gotten permission from Bandits angel to go ahead with xrays in the am if he still hasnt pooped.

Matter of fact angel is insistent . No one believes he has parvo . So unless we see some poop action going on one way or another we will see if he dont have a blockage.

I worry about the blockage. It's a long time for a block. I'm more worried about a intussusception. How long has he been like this?
