I bought a #50 bag of whole corn once and its too big for my chickens at the time. I tried to mash it with the sledge hammer and all I got was a sore arm. LOL I dumped it for the wild critters.

good morning all been a busy day so far.

Cable company was here as all of the sudden they now have to put boxes on the backs of all the TV's and switching to digital. Yeh yet another remote I have to have sitting around in the house. I pulled all of my remotes from the rooms. Returned the rug dr and got a couple things so I could take care of some items on the "honey do list" Frist time I have had to myself since 8 am. IT WAS 44* about 10 am already

and I am running around with out a coat/jacket of any kind. Another 10* and I might be in flip-flops

He is so cute. Is his comb flopping over his beak like a turkeys ? 

It's just a great big pea comb and it falls like that. Like a leghorn or something else.

The black hen wouldn't show me her face, but she's got red on her chest and a full fluffy face. Her mom was pure amerecauna. I found a pretty blue egg in the coop today (after I moved her over) and it was still warm! Pretty sure it's hers, as I don't know who else over there would lay blue. I put it in the best so she feels at home.
