Good luck at your blue and gold dinner. Your decorations looked great!
I made a last minute decision...
Im boiling 50..yes 50 pounds of potatoes right now.
Ill be sitting here for a good hour cutting up the rest of th stuff to go with the potatoes...
making potato salad and then I have three heads of cabbage to make coleslaw!
The church is providing the food...I just found out it is only a barbecue beef sandwich and a bag of chips.
I think that is ridiculous for 8 dollars per person! (The pack is paying for the food for everyone---which all their money comes from the dues from our boys and fundraisers)
My friend...where my horses are...has a truck driver friend..who needed to empty his load..so he could haul a more expensive one...
He unloaded a FULL dump truck of red, yellow and brown potatoes yesterday...FOR FREEEEE!
I delivered a 5 fifty pound horse feed bags..(not full..I could barely carry them) to the school for the teachers to take home...plus 20 grocery bags full to my neighbors and a few friends.
I have 150 russet baking potatoes for the scout camping trip in few weeks....plus A MILLION more potatoes in my garage!
If they didn't weigh so much and cost so much to ship I would be sending all of Granny land potatoes!
So Im making free potato salad for the party!
(Not free..I spent 17.00 buying the meat of the stuff I need for it, including all the coleslaw stuff.....Pretty cheap in order to feed 100 plus!)
