Granny's gone and done it again

Witnessed a new scovy behavior today. Where Hank and Mavis live had become a slimy, sloppy mess. Through tedious and careful maneuvering, I managed to get all the chickens in the coop. Then I locked up the goats and let Hank and Mavis out. Then I let the goats out, hens out, and left the roos in the coop. I mucked their suite, then put fresh shavings in one side and fresh hay in the other. I noticed Hank was by the door, and Mavis was in the goat part. I locked the goats back up with Mavis.

WHILE ALL THIS WAS HAPPENING two of the scovy hens crept up to the suite and went in. Then they faced each other and bowed low and started chattering and bobbing their heads up and down. It was the happiest little dance I've ever seen.

Not sure what they liked so much. Maybe they're getting ready to nest and thought that was all for them?

I have a brush with a stiff nap that points one way and collects the hair very well. I use tape to get the little stragglers. He was not supposed to be a long haired cat. Shelter said he was 2 yrs old... 6 months was more like it, and his coat really puffed out over the following year. He's a fluffy one!

They moved themselves to the farm and never went back.

My ducks never bonded with me like yours did. They were half scared of me and I raised them from babies. Not eggs though. Only I have that does that is one hen I have I bought raised already and this turkey. I cant walk for it because it will get in front of me and squat.
