Granny's gone and done it again

Oh, kiki, you asking me about driving in snow reminded me... In mid-january one of my friends and I were driving on a back road with 5' snowbanks in the small spots. Was one of those roads that's pretty near one lane in spots, and "high traffic" is more than one car seen on the road.

Well, there was an icy spot and the car slid a bit and the mirror clipped the side of the snowbank... We didn't even stop our conversation when the car slid. Didn't think about it until about 5 min later I realised how funny it would have been if we had had a southerner in the car with us and busted out laughing.

I can just hear you in the back seat...
"Watch out for the corner! Oh, please do slow down, you're not supposed to go 40 MPH on snowy back roads... ACK!! The car slid!! Don't hit the snowbank!"

You also would probably had to have the car professional cleaned!

I would have probably had a heart attack..for real!

You should have been with me about, oh, I dunno, 5 years ago.... I was travelling on a highway when a bad blizzard hit. Bad as in cant-see-more-than-15-ft-ahead. Snow hit a foot deep on the roads pretty quick, and everyone was driving into ditches....

It was in the south, so peeps didn't know how to drive in snow too well. I just slowed down & ended up making it just fine. Well... It was south to me, you'd call it up north.

Camp what is that contraption she is sitting in?
A tool box like thing?

I love it!

I've been to Colorado and Michigan...both when there was snow on the ground...it never actually snowed while I was there...
I was worried to death in both states having to travel anywhere!
I know it is sad...but it's very real.

It wasn't THAT big of a slide....
My husband will pick at me sometimes, while he is driving in the rain/wet road, and barely jerk or turn the wheel.
He kills himself laughing...me...feet on the dash..yelling...more like using up a storm

To me...the FLOCK MASTER...
