i have 14 bantams and one brahma in my flock i dis agree that they are smarter my polish two are pretty ditzy

I don't own many bantams besides OEGB, and I kinda forget there are any others some times, I guess... I'm sure there are some banty breeds that are pretty dumb; but over all they just seem more intelligent.

I find the bantams seem to be more intelligent and quirky than LF. If it weren't for their insane broodiness and small eggs; I'd have an all bantam flock.

You realize, of course, that being more intelligent than a LF chicken don't give a bantam a whole lot to brag about

Sorry I didn't get back to you, got caught up in dinner, dishes & egg cleaning. Have managed to get a nasty sinus headache after cleaning coops this afternoon. Painful to even have my glasses on. Not going to stay long, but wanted to check in as I missed you earlier.

I actually think all chickens are just a hair smarter then we give them credit for. The bantams are more closely linked to the wild chicken perhaps ?
