Granny's gone and done it again

Fingers crossed you dont lose power. If you do wrap a blanet around the incubator ok

OK.  I wonder how long they would live with it off ?

A guy on Sally's thread took a tray out and forgot it overnight and they hatched. Another guy lost power somehow and the bator was down to 50-something and still had a great hatch. So don't worry!
Camping is it true if you hatch from pullet eggs the chicks will be smaller and they will never lay an egg size to their full potential?

@ChickenCanoe says yes. He's been working predominantly with one breed and says he can track egg size through the generations.

I hatched Lagertha's pullet eggs because I couldn't wait. I'm getting two distinct egg sizes in the honas, but I don't have them separated in a way to know if the smaller eggs are from Lagertha's offspring.

I think for average backyard purposes that it isn't as critical as breed preservation.
