Granny's gone and done it again

Shouldn't tear your thumbs off.

What happened?
was at a Dairy goat Association meeting and some newer showers needed help with hooves (they remembered how well I can trim hooves and fit goats) well the goat moved it hoof when I went snip and she replaced the tip of my thumb with her hoof between the trimmers

I got it hooves done with my thumb wrapped in baby wipes while dad got the first aid kit.

There was lots of blood.

I had a question mark until I put in a picture! I like being mysterious!

I'll go with the flow.

but for now I have pics!

Pinecone has been in the bathroom for 2 weeks. He's 12 weeks old I think? Still not sure on sex. I would think a roo would be more developed.

Pinecone is healing up really well! I agree, think she would be a lot more red if she was a he. Always wonder if being away from other chickens slows their development... and confuses them. I would love to do an experiment to find out if a quickly developing dominant cockerel actually depresses the development of other cockerels, or if they would develop as slowly on their own.

I won't be typing much, decided to try to take a thumb off yesterday.

And clippers aren't exactly sterile... but if it bled a lot that's actually good... flushes out all the germs.

(<< imagine a big bandage on the thumb!)

Yea, I had to change bandaids three times, accidentally bled on one of their goats trying to help repair damage done by a "helping" rival show person that decide to clip their goat when they ASKED them what they suggested to do -_- the poor kid was almost in tears with anger and hurt. Mama wanted to rightfully kill someone

@Leave a LightOn hasn't been on for 5 days. News was just showing terrible flooding in Missouri... and I think that's where she's from. Sure hope the two things aren't connected.
