
You can always feed the extra broccoli and cauliflower to the chickens. I bet they will even eat the sauerkraut! I put in a bunch of tomatoes last year, and they did horribly. Waste of time and water. Biggest problem is an oak has grown up and shaded my raised beds. We either move them or cut down the tree. yeah, right... some year... Now the only thing I have growing is kale (for the chickens) and even that I have let go. Plants are 3 yrs old, and gone to seed after the Vicious Mass Aphid attack of 2017. Will pull them all and put new starts in this fall. At least kale likes the shade.
