Granny's gone and done it again

Is there a reason you cant say the pledge ? I know you are Canadian born but you live in America, you married an American.
Okay going back to catch up after I post this but...couple reasons I can't say the pledge.

1. I don't know it off the top of my head. I know y'all have it memorized and all that but...I don't.

2. I don't pledge allegiance to the flag. I am and always will be Canadian. As long as I am here, I will follow the laws and respect the rule of the land but....I am not eligible for citizenship yet anyway, need a few more years of residency but even when it comes to it, I don't think I will because the oath for citizenship has you revoke and forswear previous citizenship. I can't and won't do that. Being Canadian is a huge part of what makes me me. All liberal hippie universal health care affordable post secondary education pro parental leave me. Besides, our countries have been allies for many years.

I know, that answer probably angered a few people. Ah well. I don't like half-donkey pledging or swearing of things.

Granny yikes what a crazy night. Hope everyone is good in your household today :( about to leave sactown, going to take the scenic route back again - adds some more miles for sure but less insane traffic we hope.
