Granny's gone and done it again

Newspaper or some old blankets you don't care about. Granny the chicks will need something to keep from cooking from below :(

Time to go in to work. So much for having Friday's off.

Janet is under the influence... hormones! Rod should be bringing her treats, not smacking her. We didn't do anything new with the mares when they got close to foaling. Too risky.

OH and in the past 5 or 6 weeks 19 has managed to loose her ear tag :he Which is what set Rod off the first time as I was NOT sure if the cow in question was 19 or Janet, at least not with out getting closer then they were letting us. Porter was a GOOD VERY GOOD boy just went over and laid down in a corner and "watched" the rodeo. :love

well she hasn't really liked him from when she first stepped off the trailer. Crazy Sheila seems to have forgiven me and star just wanted treats and scratches from me.

Wagoner seems to have REALLY SETTLED down since Rod put a halter on him. Tibbit's has Very very fast feet, and can kick pretty high. Lost a small patch of skin as I was trying to brush/pull/remove some clumps of shed under fur.

We filled pretty well packed to about a 5 gallon bucket of winter coat from "the Herd" with the nasty matts and burr pockets going to the trash as brushing them out.

Oh and the county is no under a BURN BANN no outside fire/flames unless it is a gas or propane type grill, charcoal is a NO NO and no burn barrels, fire pits or burning of trash. Fine of 1500.00 plus possible jail time
