Well. I guess the rock's half broodiness inspired PERMABROOD.

yep. Rock's off, Maran is on.

I'm lucky with her as a broody though. She's not vicious. Probably cause she knows I'll bring her tasty treats lol.

Tempted to mark an egg, let her have it...and see what the feed store gets in a few weeks. Hmm.

Guess the br hens heard the rumor about culling cause 3/5 have laid an egg before 10am.

No rest for the wicked right ? I couldnt forget the eggs and toast so I said, ok, I will do it. No eggs. lol No problem I will just go outside and get some. Im sure they laid. All the kittens were out. I was sitting there looking at me. I got it and one other then went in the house and woke CB up cause I know he didnt close the cage. together we caught 0. I guess I woke Robert too cause he came out and caught them in less then 5 min. Then he asked for a trap for the mama. That boy means business.
Finally got my eggs . 3 LF gone broody. Washed 6 eggs and 2 were very fertile. penny sized. I didnt want to eat them.

That's what I figured. Which is why I thought it was weird. I've only ever seen 1 at a time.

the egg I cracked and didnt eat had the bullseye, then a ring and another ring and a 3rd. little space between them . I that what you meant ? You should of took a pic. !

I could have used Robert yesterday lol the feral cat moved her kittens in the garage Friday. She snuck in the garage Friday night. Woke up to several poopy messes all over. Those things are mean!

It was 3 separate spots like that. They were the size of my pinky nail. I'm bad about leaving the eggs in the basket in the garage, but these I brought in. They've been next to the incubator since Wednesday?

I should of but I was cooking and being rushed lol plus I was spazzing because I cracked open a bloodring egg. I was trying to get rid of it before mom seen. 3/12 I had to toss.

one or 2 is leaving today . My favorite 2 seems to be dds favorite . I dont want to keep any though. enough strays running around here.
