I usually wait until they're 3ish days old to let them swim. He will get waterlogged quickly, though, and so can't be left unattended or he'll sink.... Dry him off good after he swims.

he won't sink if I get him some floaties. And if you'll notice I said when me and him can go swimming in the pond. I ain't letting this cute thing swim by itself
