Granny's gone and done it again

I have a CCL hen that does the same thing. I have 3 nesting boxes for 6 hens & yet they always want just the one

I have 4 boxes for 6 girls. They use 2. Either the 2 end ones or the middle ones. But never the first one.

I have 2 boxes for 8 girls...They all pretty much use the same one each day.
I just added two new boxes last week..they don't go near them. (yet)

Dumb birds, there are days that I have to stop what I'm doing in the garden just to go throw a girl out of a nest box because 2 others have been squawking the past hour to get in the box. They are noiser than a dang rooster lol.

Don't count on them to use them. In my big layer coop I have 8 boxes for 25 girls, they use 3

So y'all remember how I said I was gonna make a mini coop out of the small wooden 4' box? Well I was bad. I decided to upgrade lmao. Combine a 6' and 4'

Now I need to figure out EXACTLY how I want it so I can figure the cost...

I can add more birds lol it was just going to be 4 bantams but why waste the other box right? Lol

exactly what he did Lisa, ate a hole through the lattice and exactly what I did, zip tied some chicken wire. LOL just came in and found a tick crawling on me. first one in a while. grass is so tall.
Not feeling so hot today. I need to go shower .
