You can mix some into your shavings as well Ally. Its sold as a horse stall freshener & is safe to use with poultry. They say it even speeds up the composting process.

I'll look into it. I cleaned the coop out at the beginning of June and put the bedding in the run. It didn't smell but it was very dusty.

Lol, I do the same with my runs, in fact sometimes if my compost pile is overflowing the side I wheelbarrow loads into the runs for the birds to break down faster.

It had one but we closed it when we remodeled in 1998. I told dh we should put one in the dining room wall. It's on the other side of the stairway down to it. Easy peasy.

You want dusty, I'LL show you dusty. It's called 50 week old chicks dust bathing in their coop with sand & PDZ. I have to go out occasionally to shop vacation the dust because it's THAT coated

It's amazing stuff, but I am super surprised that with how ripe that batch was that it didn't burn off all the bark on the tree

Just so ya'll know. I begged Lisa to stop and her DH. I dont know how either one of them done it. They just knew I couldnt. It was the worst job here.

it was that wet hay. I will never put hay in there again.
