Granny's gone and done it again

Take your third pill & then your sleeping pill. You can't take it if you want to stay on here though or the activity of the thread will get in the way of you sleeping. I've found that if I have a high fat snack before I take mine that it takes a lot longer for it to kick in. You just need to set a limit on the time you are awake. Set a schedule if your hurting bad that day & need the third pill. Hope you are able to get some relief & rest :hugs
I only took one and something happened to me I didnt like . I looked up side effects and only 3 people had this happen to them. Not even enough to make the side effects list. It was like an electric shock. All 3 of them had something in common with me and that was celexa .

your saying it skipped places where it was zipping ? Thats why they go around the shell a few times before they can get out.
I think once you go into lockdown you should do everything you can to Not open the bator. I know you have to sometimes but its like a cold slap in the face to them and they dry a little each time.

It zipped all the way around. Shell was gone but the membrane was stringy. It was kicking trying to get out rocking all over the place.

It looked like the thick flat dental floss holding the 2 pieces of shell together. But sideways.

Granny gave good advice, the less you open the incubator the better your hatch will be. What kind of bator do you have Ally? I have much better hatches now that I've rigged up fish tank air tubing through the vent hole to add water to the sponge I have sitting below it. Allows me to increase humidity without removing the lid.

They are beautiful hun, so glad you got some hens. My Silkied Serama looks a lot like your tolbunt, but with a smaller tophat & 5 toes. The hen is mainly black with a little copper coming in around the neck. Neither of them have the droopy wings or tail standing straight up. Does that come as they get older?
Fun thing about the Seramas, they don't know they're small. The eggs are good too... big yolks for the size.

wishing, do you have any micro ? How was your day?
No micro. Some day get a pic of yours next to a regular sized one so I can see the size.
Not one of my best days. This is about the 8th day in a row of high heat. We are not used to this and it's taking a toll on me.

Supposed to be a Buff. So if it hatches I'll have 1 Buff and 1 white.
That would be 2 colors down, 7 to go? 9? You could create your own colors... black with a white crest, like a Polish. Or columbian! Do silkies come in columbian?

how much older will Spike need to be before he lays ? LOL
He's about 13 weeks and looking leggy. Hopefully it's just a stage. No saddles in sight, comb is still not red. I hope he's a she because she will end up being friendly. I haven't had a lap chicken since my first group.

Ideal has black, blue, buff, white, red, and partridge. I got 7 of the assortment so maybe I'll get 1 of each. +3 blues.
This sounds easier than hatching! Not having any heatwaves out your way, I hope. Hope you get your rainbow!

I say around thanksgiving!

Sometime between 1am and 6:45am this morning
:barnie My nerves won't take it! Some one else will have to eat Spike. I'm a big wuss about that.

Sounds like really tough membrane, have had that with some hatches before.

It's a hovabator 1602N I had a good hatch last time but I couldn't keep humidity up.

This time humidity was good until lockdown and I just couldn't get it high enough. All 4 troughs are filled up and it only got to 55% I had to add a wad of paper towels to get it to 70%. No condensation on the windows.

I might steal the sponge idea for lockdown next time.
