Granny had that happened here in my town, the garbage man would have been shamed by the community. Heck we stop all the time to help people with car trouble. Just about everyone does. We just took a lady and her 4 kinds bottled water and candy the other week. We told them that they could come to the house and wait on their family to show up. They were broke down right across the hwy that we live off of. They were fixing to get in our car but their ride called and was close. Do yall pull over for funerals? Or is that just something here?

The other crazy thing though is how crazy some of the rescue places are for the potential homes. The only reason I got peach was because my mom fostered for that specific shelter so they knew her and figured a daughter of hers knew her crap.

If I went to a place that my family was not known, I would have been turned down for renting and being a single working person.

I worry now cause even though yeah fenced yard, I'm still working and so is hubs.

Some of the adoption fees are nuts too. $350 for a unvetted dog. And even for for a vetted dog is higher. Double the price.

I know a lady who adopted from a shelter. She had a fenced in yard and had to provide a vet reference. She was told the dogs had the works done. Vaccines, spay, good behavior. Wasn't 6 months later and the dog was in heat.

I went to a local ice cream place for shakes for the family had a boxful a young man of about 8 or 10 approached me and ask if I would allow him to carry my box out, I almost fainted . Lol
