Granny's gone and done it again

Doing okay. Took the kids to the dentist today. Now I have to go over to my sis's and take care of her place since she's out of town.
One of my chickens is not doing well. She's an EE I got last year, so young. She standing around puffed up. I found an egg of hers under the roost with a membrane wrapped around the outside of the shell. Never seen that before, but she's obviously got some laying problems, poor thing.

Hi. Did you get in a nap at all? I was just on the phone with my sis. She is back at her hotel, resting her poor ankles. Or as she calls them, cankles from sitting for 5 hrs on the plane a,d sitting most of today. Too much sitting going on!!!

I know. Said she is learning an awful lot and needs more time, so there may be a second visit, but not sure for now. We'll try to work something out after things are resolved around here.

What would yall do if your broody quit sitting and you seen a pip and no time to set up bator? Down the shirt?

If I put a pipped egg down my shirt the poor thing would suffocate. Wonder if wrapping it in a wet paper towel and a heat lamp would work?
