Yeah, but it was back when i lived in TN, and it is easy to forget details. I need to buy game bird starter, forgot and bought chick starter. Of course, i thought i would have some chicks by now.

they are very sensitive when little . Dont let them get even their feet wet. a chill is death for them. They will need grit before seeds just like chickens and after they start on seeds get a special container with only white millit in it and when you treat them shake it and call them. It is their favorite and will come every time.

Im glad it was Granny, she was already on your list. LOL You know, 19 is a lot prettier then I thought. Even her hair looks like a different texture .

well she is getting old (19) and her hair seems thinner then some of the younger ones also the royals as a whole tend to be less wooly.

I think the adults also eat/graze canadian thistle as least when small I didn't seem to notice as much and not as "healthy, tall, thick as some years. They also seem to "self-medicate" and will eat a little of the wormwood. when small and tenderer

wormwood ?? Seems to act like store bought wormer for animals and here's some more info. Also considered a noxious weed in ND and a big no no to have it one your land.

YEP their horns never quit growing and both hers and Janet's are starting to form hooks at the ends. Should be a handy coat/hat rack when it's time for then to go.

the white hair/wool doesn't seem to be as thick/full even on the trims.

My husband could not believe i was putting a light in for heat. I said they need to be hot, they are babies without a mama. If they are hot they can move away from the light. My brooder is completely enclosed except for the wire bottom.
