Had to clean the chicks out again. Between the heat and water they're playing with...it's a stinking mess. AND I've had the lamps off. They've been laying on the other side so I figured I'd just turn em off.

James Olsen...... it kills me that the guy didn't even know his name. He literally says he "just decided to kill people " and Jimmy was one of the first people he saw. It was brutal and completely senseless. He was the kind of guy that would do anything for anyone.....

Sorry to hear about your friend, Mare. What a terrible thing.

Oh Mare that is horrible. Why are people so mean. And he didn't even know who he was. Last week my friend was on hi way home when he stopped behind a suv. He realized that a man was standing in the road talking to the people in the suv so he went around them and pulled into his driveway. We go around people all the time like this because we're a small town and it's not surprising to see people talking to someone in the road. Anyway before he could get out, a black guy hit him in the face. He never even seen him until after he was hit. He asked the guy what was that for and tries to get out again and the guy punches him a few more times. At that point he tries again to get out to defend himself when the passenger had gotten out and put a gun to his head and told him to not move or he was going to kill him. The guys finally jumped back in the suv and drove off. He had never seen them before and still don't know why they done it.

Silkies are so much fun. They seem to have totally different personalities than other chicks and chickens. Or mine does anyway.

Hi Papa. I am tired and fuzzy. Not sure what is going on, but hope I am not getting sick. On the bright side, it's a beautiful day here. Only 77 right now and will top out at 85, so no heat stroke today!!
How are things with you? Your little darlin' behaving?

It's hot and humid so we're staying inside . I can't be out when it's like this. Lauren does the best she can but she's my kid lol

Me too star. If I fell over dead in the coop the chickens might eat me but at least they will wait until im gone lol.

My 14 week old silkies are the only chickens I've ever had that pecked the hands that fed them. My others fly up & land on my arms but don't peck me.
