I think 14 chicks, granny. Hard to get them all at once. I need a video of Herkey puffing up like a beach ball and chasing off the others from her biddies. not me, of course.

Trying to stay up late for laundry but doubt I'll make it much longer.

Price per lb does go up in August, prime season.... But never to $15 for local caught.

I usually only buy it when it's on sale...12.99 per pound.

Well I think I'm going to get a shower & a snack then off to bed. This heat & humidity is kicking my butt working out in it. Hoed the garden in 86* weather yesterday, can wring water out of my clothes when I'm done for the day. Bought a new pair of barn boots a week ago. They reek like stinky feet just in this short amount of time. My pants are soaking wet from my knees down when I take them off, nasty

We finally grilled. GD,DD & me. Made a homemade grill with my old stove drawer & oven rack. Worked great. Boneless chicken thighs, brats, hotdogs, hamburgers. Won't have to cook meat for a couple of days. Chicken cordon blue is what u had at church, Papa. Look on line for recipe. DD mowed a little grass while i grilled. GD played in mudhole.
