How do you freeze the corn, on the cob? We used to feed our windfall apples to the animals. They loved it! And the deer ate their share as well.I freeze 2--3 bushels of corn per year, and as much applesauce as can be made from the apples the Rugrats tote home from the neighbours. They've got a nice little orchard up that we're allowed to grab all we want from. They feed the wasps, otherwise.
But kids like it.I prefer applesauce, otherwise I'd not go to so much effort. Pain in the rear, really.
Good night, Papa.I'm kilt y'all play purty now I'm out
We had most of the typical farm animals growing up, but dad said sheep were too stupid and pigs were too smart, so we never had them, and mom said geese were too mean.and Sheep just spend most of their lives planning new and inventive ways of offing themselves.
Who are you, and what have you done with my granny who says she can't cook???cornbread, just dont ask how much. LOL 3/4 cornmeal to 1/4th self rising flour. an egg and milk. options buttermilk or sweetmilk and sugar . mexican cut down the milk add cream style corn and shredded cheese .
Thick cornbread make heavy batter , fluffy make thin batter aka/pancake. Iron skillet greased and hot on the stove makes the best crust . Dont over mix and dont over cook. broil to brown the top. Cold milk on the side. or crumble in the milk. cracklins also good to add.
I was thinking the settings will get all scratched up in the gizzard. Also, if they eat rocks that stay in the gizzard, isn't a diamond like the ultimate rock? Seems it would stay there until it got small enough to be of no use. I think they are going to be eating that chicken in about a week! This ladys chicken ate her earrings . Both of them out of her ear. studs. Dont seem possible. One maybe .. She is protecting the chicken from her DH who says it is a $2000.00 chicken.
But but but, they are so cuuuute!haha It sounded like he was dying. scared me. sounded like a chicken with a bad respiratory problem.
glad its just a molt then. Might fry one up anyway.
Dont matter right or wrong a promise is a promise .
Yeah, i like Flemish and Californians in the meat breeds. Like i said, i mostly had small breeds but one of my first rabbits was a red New Zealand that was a house rabbit. He watched TV with us on the bed and used a litter box when he needed to go. If the dogs bothered him, he just kicked them. What a character.Buttermilk! That's what mom put in hers. Maybe that's my problem, I don't use a mix. Tried one once and didn't like it, Marie Calendars, too sweet and falls apart. I will have to try again. The guys around here really like it.
Sympathy cry, because I'm not gonna hug you... you got COOTIES!!
Aw, what the heck, I'm scratching anyway!
I don't want to know how you know all this. I'm scratching more now!
Tularemia doesn't cause lockjaw... your pop was wrong. Now you can get abunny!!!
Some of mine are molting now. Either that or they have a serious moth infestation.
Wow. 4 whole pounds?? We like Flemish Giants, very cool and laid back. Sherman (Tank) was smallish, only got about 14 lbs. I can't find his picture.
You should have left him stuck and gone to get the clippers! Haha! Easy peasy!
I slice it off and bag it. Setting up a family assembly line helps make it go faster. How do you freeze the corn, on the cob? We used to feed our windfall apples to the animals. They loved it! And the deer ate their share as well.
There have been a few times when you said you didn't know how... but obviously not when it comes to cornbread. (Gimme back my granny, you alien!)I am dozing off again. LOL Never said I dont know how, just hate hate it
You can spread it out on cookie sheets and freeze before bagging. Takes longer, but the kernels don't stick together and makes it easier to use.I slice it off and bag it. Setting up a family assembly line helps make it go faster.
