I was talking on a emer. thread earlier. someone worried cause her chicken had been shot and was bad in the leg. Come to find out neighbors gave her the chicken, it tried to go home and was up a tree so they shot it to get it down.

And people call chickens bird brains. Sheesh!

But when you follow the link, it would take forever to find the actual phrase. Seems you only hear of it in oral histories from Appalachia.

Sometimes nature takes it's course for a reason. It sure can be cruel, but it stops the cycle.

I have been meaning to ask after her about 10 different times today. I guess weekends are busiest for them. Did that inspection finish completely?
