Granny's gone and done it again

I quit the pipe after 50+ years 3 days before my double bypass on Feb. 3. Threw all my pipes away 'cause I knew I'd cheat if I kept them. I still crave it almost 6 months later. I still catch myself "moving" the pipe from one side to the other, or taking it out of my mouth.
Good for you!

I understand 100 %. It's been close to 15 years for me, and upon circumstance I still find myself reaching for a bag of chew in my hip pocket.

I get tired quicker than I used to, and don't have the strength I did. That may be a combination of 73 years & being forced into relative inactivity for a while. Get little twinges around the heart, but Doc tells me that's normal this soon. I still manage to wake up every morning, and find out I'm still on the green side of the grass, so I guess that's good. Just to be sure, though, I check the obits; if my name ain't there, I eat breakfast.
