Oh my lol I bet that was a sight!
When I let mine free range they run out in the field with the cows. Checking for the good stuff I guess.

I was hoping something would take this cockerel off my hands. He's mean as a snake and I can't catch him since I turned him loose. He'd be a good free range boy but not locked up in a coop/run.

Oy, yes....107+, which isn't that bad compared to Indiana summers, because its a dry heat, but its bad for here and no one has central air, etc since we usually don't need it so pout poor window unit that has only run a few hours at a time maybe six days total this summer has been running since Tuesday. It's supposed to break today.....

We have been having some of the hottest days anyone can remember. Today, the clouds from the southern monsoons are blissfully blocking the sun. Still warm, but not hot and it even sprinkled a little this morning!

You know my #1 is the same way. We work on it a lot. I tell him being so judgemental is not realistic, that no one is perfect, we all make mistakes INCLUDING HIM, and wouldn't he want to be forgiven for his mistakes? Also the mistake is something a person does, not who the person is. Finally, I had to make a rule that it is rude not to forgive someone who sincerely apologizes. sigh. We are still working on it.
Only thing that has worked so far is that he cannot be rude to anyone, even if he doesn't like them. sigh

I had Faverolles, nice birds. And the roosters are well behaved. Easy to sex by color.
