I have not used any pesticides here yet. Hoping the birds will eat those bugs.

Well if I had to rely on the birds to eat all these dang bugs I wouldn't have anything to harvest. The bugs have been the worst I've ever seen. Last year was the first year we got these cucumber beetles. Unfortunately they like every kind of plant, not just cucumbers. They attack the leaf so heavily that the plant dies one leaf at a time. You can be out in the garden one day & come out the next & the plant will be all limp & wilted. They will continue to turn yellow & brown & the whole plant dies.

I know, sometimes there is nothing left to do but use chemicals. I wish i could grow my veggies in a screened in room sometimes, with bees to pollinate.
