Means your chickens are eating 2 cups each of feed per day.

I feed 7 cups of feed per day to 8 hens.
But I ferment mine and have zero spill/waste.

I was so interested to get into mushroom growing that I actually bought a book about it. I never finished reading the whole book, as it sounded a little difficult to me. Do you guys grow them? I am really still interested in doing it, just got a little discouraged that it would be too hard.

It's not hard to grow mushrooms! Outdoors is dead easy. The second hardest part is picking the right spot. The hardest part is waiting. Indoors, it's not hard either, but might be a bit more involved. If you've ever worked in Healthcare or had to learn sterile technique, its easy. Even if not, it isnt hard, you just have to be meticulous. Lots of info on YouTube and google. The spawn (mushroom seed) is usually not expensive, except for the rare mushrooms. Or maybe the psilly ones, but no need to grow those.

Granny...help me out...who is HE?

When I say "HE" I mean my Husband Equivalent. We are living together, not married, but living as if we are in every important way. I made it clear from the start I wasn't interested in marriage and was too old to be having more babies, couldn't see any reason to get hitched. And so he is "HE".

I remember I had a french teacher that would have us read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in french as 'extra credit". It was a challenge, that's probably why I never got past the first three pages...
