Granny's gone and done it again

Well we all know Canadians are perfect! But the US was very slow to respond. More people need to work on preparedness for emergencies.
Especially in an area prone to that type of disaster?

Don't get me wrong. We're not perfect. I know there was some confusion and botched assistance during the Calgary/Canmore floods of...crap was that 2013? I think so...and the big massive fort Mac and other places fire. But generally, we Canucks put forth effort in times of need. Be it Katrina, or tsunamis halfway across the world...

Sigh. I'm grumpy. 4am road call for hubs = sleep madness for me. And he's so tired!!! But still playing grand theft auto. And I gotta wake up early tomorrow to water things and take out trash.

On the lighter side of things....here's one happy doggo.

does marty's guitar look normal sized ??

A small guitar would be pitched higher. It was probably something like this. Guy says it is Nashville tuned. Since you can no longer LINK a video :tongue, you cannot see what the guy wrote about this guitar. Look up 1958 Martin 5-18 if you are interested.
Or, I could just post what he wrote :

This is a fairly rare little "Terz" guitar, meaning that it's tuned a third higher than standard tuning (i.e. the open 6th string is a "G"). The guitar is strung with the "upper strings" from a 12 string acoustic guitar string set, and is in "Nashville tuning" with two strings tuned an octave higher than usual. It's an all mahogany body, with a fine thick mahogany neck, wonderful open Grover tuners, and a lovely Adirondack spruce face.

That's what I get for trying to wash dishes. :hit

Oh no! Not the coffee pot!! That's gotta hurt.

Another busy day. Had to drive across town to pick up the kid, and got back later than I planned. Fog was in, so it was darker for the time as well. The pullets are still not real happy with going onto the big girls' coop. So I spent 45 mins looking for Spike who did not make it back to the big girl coop, nor up in the grapefruit tree with 2 of the other pullets. (I needed a ladder to get them down and put them in the coop.) I looked everywhere, even in her old home, the garage, just in case she hopped the fence. Not there. Dark by this time, so left the garage light on and went back out with my inadequate flashlight to keep searching and searching and searching... which tree??? grapefruit, apple, cherry, buckeye, apricot, pear, peach, loquat? ugh... other cherry, oak/bay/cotoneaster thicket? redwood tree?? :hit Tried to get Scooter to help, but no luck. ugh. It's very hard to find a black chicken in the dark. Finally had to give up and figured she will have to take her chances. Back around to close up the garage and guess who was wandering around inside... Miss Spike, wondering why none of her buddies were there. And why does she insist on coming back to the garage? She's got a long memory for a chicken!
