Granny's gone and done it again

Wishing, I am so very sorry for the loss of your MIL. I know it must of been very hard on everyone . Your DH sleeping on the floor next to where she lay is a picture I will never get out of my head. What better show of love could there be then a son tending to his Mothers final days with such love and devotion? I dont even know the man but am so very proud of him. Big hugs for the whole family .
Very well said granny :love

Does the school not serve breakfast up there Granny?
Breakfast and lunch are eaten at school.
Dinner and snacks at home.
One pot meals and carrots and cucumbers would be simple.
That's a good point! We have free breakfast for students here! And it's save $$ at home for dinner

Do they make bigger crock pots or just standard size ? I know they make small ones. I want to say its 5 quart but not sure.

Mine is 8 qt.

Fruits are expensive (down here.)
I'm trying to think cheap.

BANANAS. Cheapest of all.

When we had WIC I had $11 for "fresh fruit/vegetables" and I always got several bunches of bananas. I'm sure they should be eligible for WIC, if nothing else. It covers bread/cereal, milk, cheese, beans, etc. Staples.

Morning/afternoon grannyland, has been raining here so took this extra time to just relax for a change. Waiting on the rain to let up a bit before I head out to feed the vultures. @Wishing4Wings I am so sorry for the loss that you all must feel. Sounds like you married a gem. May God give you all peace & healing. For all of your sakes I'm glad she isn't suffering anymore. You have been a wonderful daughter-in-law. Doing everything you could to help her ease her way throught the tough times. BIG :hugs for you & your family.
