I would agree, but from what you've told I doubt he would tolerate the sensation of water filling his ears. But if he laid in the water, got his hair clean, he could use a warm rag in his ears.

Robert woke me at 4am . He was panicked . Said he brushed his hair back with his hands and everything went muffled in his ear. I had him lay down and I see wax, a lot . Dr just said there wasnt any. Barely a pin hole for his hearing. He has never used q-tips. after I moved the blockage I went in and so much yellow fluid . It was like very wet wax. liquidy. The problem was stopped but I am confused . dr said no wax. He had to be wrong because all that dont get there that fast.
So now what ?

You can flush them out with warm water. Q tips just push stuff further in. Use like a turkey baster or large syringe. It takes several attempts. Doctor must be blind.

Kiki is a trooper, her MILs house is chest deep.

I am popping on and off here. Got the laundry washing. Cooking soup for my lunch. Got the bear spray in the Mule. The dominant pair of hummingbirds keep chasing others away from the feeder. I have a back up but DH says one is enough. Sigh.

Papa, Cap, @mlm Mike, and other goat people: here's pics of Beaux. I wormed them both Wednesday with Dumor pellets. I thought maybe it was lack of forage but seems like they would've both dropped weight? His eyelids are pink. They've got lots of hay now and I picked up feed, too, to help him get some weight back.

Just explain it to him. Tell him it is going to really start hurting if it doesn't get cleaned out. Tell him step by step what you are doing. We used to clean some people's ears in the doctors office that were so bad big plugs of wax like large pencil erasers would come out!
