They were talking about that on the news yesterday, how the hurricane damage and flooding is going to impact businesses and the economy, both for Texas and the US. Estimation of hundreds of millions of dollars lost just in livestock industry. Areas of destruction are larger than Delaware and Rhode Island combined... homes, business, infrastructure. The wind damage south of the flooding isn't getting as much attention because people safely evacuated those areas, but it looks like a war zone down there. And it's not even over yet... still storming. It will take years to recover, but if anyone can do it, Texans can.I'm as concerned about all the livestock as much as the people. The people can get out in boats if need be; either their own or rescue boats, but the larger animals are contained in fenced pastures, or can't swim at all, like chickens, and certainly are a lower priority, understandably. If they survive at all, they'll be scattered to God knows where.
Kiki, we are praying for you! You are smart and doing all the right things, so I'm sure you and family will be fine in the end, but your lives are going to be very different with the damage being done to your city. Stay safe. There is water every where.
I mean EVERywhere.
My house is still dry....hopefully it will stay dry but if not we are prepared to lose everything as long as we don't drown we will be fine.
What's really starting to get sad is most of us do not have flood insurance down here...
We never thought we would need it....in the normal places that don't flood and most of us...in these normal places are all taking on water.
You've heard the saying 100 year flood... something that happens once every hundred years. They are calling this a thousand year flood, but others are saying it's even worse than that. A flood for the ages.Wishing said it was historical .
Baby has locked himself in the bathroom.
Wishing , how do you spell "like leather ". ?
haha I suppose I do. What an odd way to spell a word. Thank you !Do you mean suede?
Give that man a medal!!!Toms wiping butts !!!
h2o, that is mumbo jumbo. We can influence weather to a small degree (seeding clouds) but the upper atmosphere winds do what they want... we have absolutely no control over that. They are still working at predicting the weather let alone controlling it.Pertnear here is the YouTube video on how the hurricane was engineered. I don't really understand it.
Like Mike said, with a U. English is a tough language to learn. (tuff langwaje to lern)Wishing , how do you spell "like leather ". ?
