We have a 25 foot Grady White in my back yard.
We will never drown here.
But i do NOT want water in my house.
Everything is changing so fast today but we are still dry for now.

The rain will NOT stop.

Make sure the plug's out and the bilge pump works & hope you don't need it.

Thanks wishing. It started Wednesday night at mom's, Thursday night was worse. Hurt all day Friday. Even with OTC meds there's no relief. I'm afraid I've got strep now. Tomorrow is my yearly so I'll pop into urgent care while I'm in town. I had TWO hot toddies for supper last night, so if that didn't cure me no other remedies will.

Mom is forever fighting sinus infections, asthma, colds, chronic hoarseness, etc. So now I'm wondering if it's something in her house that she's sensitive to? Eimear also had a sore throat after staying there.

Had fun shopping today, came home , ate supper and went out to set fires. Husband tried but failed to get them going. I kind of like burning brush, and he had two big piles to burn. I always collect a lot of small, dry tinder to get things going. One had a lot of pine logs in it, which we do not use in the wood stove because of the pitch causing creosote. So in short order we had two fires burning. We are trying to get rid of some of the dead wood that has accumulated here over the years before we got the property. Wish i bought marshmallows when i got groceries!

We are out in the middle of nowhere. Still, we are surrounded by forest so we are careful and have burn areas we use regularly and monitor while burning. We could have a fire daily and still not get rid of all the junk wood around here.
