Granny's gone and done it again

I think them not having all flock raiser all summer is the problem. It's 18.00 a bag here & they weren't laying so I went to fermenting layer feed. Doesn't satisfy them like the All Flock does. Just bought 2 bags of all flock last week to try to speed them through this molt. Doesn't help that I have 80+ birds either
Do you have a Rural king close by? They have flock pellets and it's 12 something a bag. Much cheaper than my feed store or tsc

Star, I'm so sorry, I couldn't live in that heat. It must just about kill you with you coming from Canada. I hit 90 & I'm done lol
Oh no. I fully melt into a puddle of maple syrup and am very glad for the blessing of ac.

I think between when I worked at Kmart and working here toughened me up a bit though.

Kmart they tried to cook us to save energy costs.

Here, boss lady sets the thermostat at 80.

I really do feel for our guys who work outside and are out in the field. I couldn't do it.

Though I do get the yard guys otter pops/freezies on a semi regular basis.

Ya they free range right out of the garden. I just can't let them out because I had bobcat coming in killing them. I grow specific veggies for them, plus they get all the farm stands limp veggies.

Lol! I don't have a garden so I don't have to worry about that. I'm sure mine would demolish a garden.
Sounds like your birds live the good life. Mine get veggie scraps if the guinea pigs don't get them first  I do have 2 pumpkins I need to toss in the runs.

Yep, I'm a firm believer in AC even here where it's hot just a short while. I sweat really easy & I don't do humidity well at all. Even on cooler days, because of allergies I don't open windows. If I'm canning & it's hot in the house the ac is on even though it may only be 60 outside.

I am painting the workshop today, around the area of the new workbench DH built. Still sprinkling on and off. I got one perch up in the coop near the feeder and adjusted the feed board so they have to work a bit to get it out, then cut another board and painted it to cover the space. It will probably take all day to dry!
The walls and pegboard behind the bench are a buttery white and the bench itself will be grey. I am waiting to give the walls another coat once they dry. Have not painted the work bench yet, want to work on one color at a time.
