We brought granny some venison/beef burger. I'm not certain if she liked it though.

Get in touch with the wildlife officers for your area. Explain your situation and ask if they might get in touch with you if they have one hit by a car that has to be put down. You can also feed it to the dog and chickens, save on feed.

There are lots of deer in the woods and hunters like to kill them. Ask around, you never know until you try.

They do, that's why it burns me that DSS thinks that 5 growing boys can be fed on 500 dollars a month. Now it can be done, but we are talking about granny having to prepare food from scratch when she is not physically able to do that.

Why not, same idea as a chicken. Get the guys that bring it to hang up up to be butchered.

shoot, They are running all over the place here. When is hunting season ? If I had a gun I guess I could bag my own.
