Granny's gone and done it again

Granny, I butchered some birds today that had so much fat I couldn't believe it. It's no wonder they weren't laying good. For the most part I've fed them fermented All Flock Raiser until this Spring. Switched to fermenting layer feed because they weren't laying well. I can't imagine if I had fed them high Cal treats. They would have had more fat. The fat was so thick that it made it extremely difficult to try to get the guts out. I had contiplated going back to feeding All Flock Raiser for winter, but after seeing that fat load I'm going to stick with the layer.
Do you give them as much as the want?
 
I don't understand all I know about online college courses, but could a kid his age take college courses online while still in his normal grade?

I don't know if its the same everywhere, but here the community college has a K-12 program where kids under 18 that are still enrolled in regular school can take 'dual enrollment enrichment' classes at school or online. DD1 just turned 16 & started at our local CC. Shes homeschooled & I gave her the choice to take additional classes at a Charter or at the Community College. She picked the CC because she didn't want to deal with all of the highschool stuff. Shes only taking one class 2 days a week & is loving it, but its been hard on me releasing her into the wild like that. Because of the 'dual enrollment', we didn't have to pay unit fees & all that other stuff (only her books.) She says theres a 15yr old kid in her class too.
 
Hi all, finally sitting down for the first time all day. The last count for chickens butchered was at 22, but there was more. I have 8 on the stove cooking right now & the rest are cooling their heels in a large cooler until tomorrow. I won't have a full count until I process them all. I even have a pan of gizzards & hearts cooking. I'm going to pickle them.

Why don't you cook them fresh?
The hearts are wonderful on charcoal grill wite the livers, and from the gizzards you can cook some nice dishes!
