Granny's gone and done it again

A dear sweet friend of mine is getting married next week. She was my very first weekend child when she was a teenager, and was there for the births of both my kids. I feel a bit like I raised her. She invited me to her lingerie shower and I'm going, but I tried to shop for her and just couldn't bring myself to by anything "fun."

So I've decided to leave the ribbons and lace to her girlfriends. I have a vintage nightgown pattern and I'm going to make one fit her and her DH.

I picked out cute ribbon and lace.

You know...I'd be mad and fuss a little at CB but I feel sorry for him and it's not his "job" to take care of the animals.
thats where you would be wrong. All the children have chores. CB chose to feed the chickens. Its the job he asked for . He was free to pick something else. How hard is it to dump 2 scoops of food in a feeder ? or bring the eggs in the house instead of throwing them at his brothers ? He is 12 yrs old . Children need chores if they plan on learning how to live in this world. I feel sorry for the ones that get to sit on their ass all day and do nothing .

Without being just plain out rude , most of that stuff is gonna wind up in a heap at the foot of the bed. Your will get more use most likely!!!

They've also been living together for a while, so it's not like she really even needs the "fun" stuff. I was happy to be invited, though.

I've been told I'm to soft on mine. I ask them what they think they done , and what they would do if they was in my shoes . There's no danger of the birds being neglected here Lauren never lets Will or me forget to feed them, gather eggs, or let them out to free range .

beautiful material Camping. My father wore a night shirt his whole life.

It's cotton knit, so nice and soft! It's gonna be pretty short on that poor fella, but I'm sparing him the lace. I liked that longer night shirt, but it needed a whole extra yard of fabric.
