American education system, you have failed that poor child. Parents, YOU have failed your poor child.
(Unless there's some severe dyslexia there but mother of cluck!)

Some kids just don't care pro. There are 10th graders in HS that don't know how to tie shoes let alone spell. Because they think they are privileged by having other people do it for them. They learn to tie shoes in kindergarten
