4 of the little birds walked up the ramp tonight , one fell into an empty plastic tote and couldn't get out ,and one tried roosting on the feeder

Here i am outside still. This fire pile husband made was huge! I swear it will still be burning in the morning. I cleaned up tons of leaves and sticks, burned them on the other piles because i didn't want to make his pile any larger. I hand watered the complete perimeter and i keep soaking it periodically. It is cooler tonight but i am so hot because of all this wood burning. I even sprayed my head with the hose to cool off. The photo is a burned down version, it was three times that size! Why did he not make several piles? Idk.
