Granny's gone and done it again

Thats a good question. I bought the leghorns from a guy in weatherford he said they were both laying already. I got brownie from a feed store they also told me she was laying already. I took brownie because she looked like she was getting picked on she didnt have any tail feathers at all and had a few scabs. Shes doing much better now.

Could they be molting? That will stop them laying for a while.

So everyone has supposedly already been laying? Hmm chicken age is tricky.

Half of the reason i hate getting out of bed is that i then feel cold. It is 57 outside, and not even supposed to hit 70 today. Sigh, why could we not have a few more degrees from all that excessive heat this summer? I would love to wake up to a nice fire in the wood stove but someone thinks it feels great as is. Canadian, he is so this feels great to him. Personally, i am having a cup of tea before i do anything. I am going to have to dig out some warm clothes and buy some fuzzy socks!

We had a pretty cold summer compared to normal. It felt more like fall. It got down to 42 here last night. I think the seasons are mixed up!

This morning i woke up to what sounded like flute music. Seemed to be the same few notes over and over. What the heck? I finally figured out it was the dog trying to breathe since i ran him over he has a runny nose and one nostril gets caked up. Then it started to sound more like snoring. Another old fellow, he fits right in.
Husband is out there mowing the weeds. He also mows all the trails down by the river. I think he just likes to stay busy.

Moral of the story: Don't run over your dog; it makes his/her nose run.

Yeah, i am happy he survived. I was ready to have him put down but husband said wait and see how he does. He hates this dog, mostly because he is male i swear. He had his chance to get rid of him and blew it. He does not like my male kitten , Kiss much either. Jealousy? Idk.
