Granny's gone and done it again

Also, DD wants to get diary of a wimpy kid from the school library, but she can't because she's in 3rd grade and it's a 5th grade reading level. She can only get books at level from the school.
What kind of BS is that?
Common sense says if the child's capable of reading & comprehending books above his/her grade level he should be encouraged, not stymied. All they're doing with their policy is opening the door for boredom because the child is capable of much more intellectually.

I would watch him for sure. Beaux tried to bloat up once. I rubbed and pushed his belly and walked him around until he pushed out some gas and perked up a bit. Be sure he can't get into the chicken feed. I didn't feed any grain this summer, just hay and forage. Regular grass hay, not alfalfa. I let the kids give them veggie trimming or a couple animal crackers for treats.
If he does have issues, position him so the top of his body is up much higher than the hindquarters. He can burp up the gas easier that way.

20171004_134345.jpg The run is looking good. Next step, dig up fill for the low spots and dig trenches for the aprons. I got one perch up but i need to trim the ends and attach plywood to them to shield the birds from predators.

.The one guy lost $80 or 100 bucks somewhere today, he thinks he lost it here. We looked around but nothing so far. I can't believe he doesn't use a wallet.

My wallet worked it's way out of a back pocket while I was mowing with my ZT last year; mulched the wallet & $1,000 real quick.
