Camping, This no more "MY" thread then it is yours or anyone elses that talks here. I was tired last night and wanted to go to bed. Good thing as these kids are not going to let me sleep.

Camp, I wish I could show that 3rd grade class how to write. I miss teaching. High school I taught at had low writing state scores so we had to write in every class. We ask English teachers to develop a rubric for each grade for an essay. 6 weeks later they were arguing & had no rubrics. I had already made my own & my science students were using it to write. We had to keep a folder in the office that showed our students were writing. When state people showed up unexpectedly they picked my rubric & student writing samples and told all the teachers to do it that way. I had post it's on their rough drafts giving them feedback before they could write the essay & brain storm, draft, & final essay all had to be turned in together. Writing is a process.

My GS s 11th grade English class is writing poetry & he loves it.

I grew up reading and writing. In 2nd grade I got first place in short story contest. It's always been in my blood, and I see DD being the same way. Last night I was correcting the punctuation in the short story she had to read. She asked why, and I told her it was wrong. "We call that a misprint." I told her that it's not a misprint, it's a mistake. And then I explained that when I worked for newspapers it was my job to read through and look for mistakes.

Hopefully the teacher calls me today and we can schedule a meeting. If she needs help in class during their reading/English time then I'm more than willing to be extra eyes.

pharmacy said it can take an hr for a fax to come through. Is that true ?

Time to quit kidding myself. My khaki Campbell is a Drake. Goat has diarrhea & got it on my legs when I was tying him out this am. Nasty. Probably the corn caused it. 61* going up to 80 today

The fax goes through almost instantly but the doctors nurse may be busy doing other things as well as the pharmacy likes to give themselves time to get things done.

thats what I thought too but she supposedly checked the fax machine and its not there.

Poor goat. Feed him only leaves and hay, no corn or pellets. You can give him kaopectate to help his situation.
