She has multiple vehicles to escape in . The chickens are staying in the back of a pick up truck with a cap on it but she lets them out during the day. Hence putting them away at night.
She told me this a while back.

Calfire is pulling in people from all over the state for these fires. (And probably out of state as well!!)

Sigh. My other side neighbors. They have a neurotic little mini pup shitzhu or something that escapes. Mini dog loves to come over to our yard. Their young daughter chases the terrified dog screaming like a banshee (and we wonder why it takes them a while to catch it)

Sigh. Next time I see it I'll just say look. Stop. We'll get a distraction and contain the pup. He's fine here, he's safe, it's not the end of the world. Look let's teach you how to TRAIN YOUR DOG TO COME TO YOU
