3 gallons of paint for $9 each. Free tarp. Tin snips cheap. Carpet for the cat scratch tower. Free pallets. Some meat sticks on clearance. Stuff to build a hoop coop for the guineas. Need more, lol. Truck was pretty full.

Got home and neighbors dog came to visit. Not tiny dog, other neighbors who my pup gets along fabulously with their two...so the dogs have been known to come over to our front door to get peach to come out and play

Got dinner in the oven and now watching rogue one (its due back at the library Friday)

That's the scary thing about fires. Firefighters are trying to get people moved & safe. That is their first priority.

Sorry guys. It has just been so busy and stressful. Today was the first day I had to sit for awhile. I even took a shower and washed my hair. Lisa is right, the priority is saving lives. When they call for an evacuation, teams of 20-30 law enforcement officers are sent out, sirens on, to go door to door and make sure people know to leave and are able to leave. They will help transport anyone who needs help or call an ambulance if need be.
We are staying with my sister. The fire has not reached this town, it seems to be heading north and she is south of where I live. My chickens are all here (except the one broody who got left behind ). The hens spend the day in the back yard and I put them in the back of the pickup. There is a camper shell and 2 roosts now and shavings in the bottom. They are doing fine. I am even getting eggs. However, getting them from the yard to the truck is a chore, and the boys were gone to burgers, so sis and I had to catch all of them. It's easier when my chicken wranglers are here... like tonight, and it's that time, so I am off to catch some hens. Will try to get on later if I don't fall asleep.
