Granny's gone and done it again

I bought the ingredients for scratch lasagna today. Been thinking about it for a while. With garlic bread to go with it. So tomorrow i will cook the stuff up and get it ready to go.

I did REAL good at the grocery store today. I bought those 32 hamburger pattys again , 3 things from the deli, all sweets, 2 cans of cinn. rolls and a sweet tea. hahaa Now I need to figure out which one to eat first.

I dont understand race much. I always heard yellow meant coward. I dont know why they call Asian people yellow ?

Yellow means a lot of things. In ancient China it was associated with royalty. Only the emperor could wear yellow clothing and a person who broke the rule would be executed.

When I worked teaching in the east bay, a student was filling out a government form, I forget what for, maybe a work experience program, was asked to check the box that matched her race. She didn't understand and asked for my help. The choices were, in alphabetical order- black, brown, red, white, yellow. No joke. That was a California state government form. That was 25 years ago and I couldn't believe it! Neither could Letty. She said it was the dumbest thing she'd ever seen. 14 yr old was wiser than the authors of that form.

That's because you don't have any young girls in your life. Guarantee you would have heard about if if you had girls around.

It didn't mean royalty on that form, it meant Asian. I don't remember what I told her, but we agreed it was pretty crazy to categorize people like that, and you could only pick one. Letty was torn between brown and red. She didn't want to pick, but it was required.
